Day thirteen! May 24th 2021

May 24th 2021 at 8:07pm Day thirteen! Today we started off our day at 8:30am for our workout. Today we did another core circuit and stretched and rolled out. Then after we continued to put together our final workout plan and nearly finished that. Then we put the finishing touches on our meal plan. After that we took a break for a seminar and lunch at 11:30. Then after, at 1:00pm we got back to work and we put together our slide show. Our slide show consists of the daily pictures we took for our blogs of us working out and doing research.  8:30-11:30 workout and work  1-3 work

Week two reflection

T his week overall has been pretty productive, we have had some detours in our days but overall we are getting a lot of work done along with our daily workout. This week we have been refining more of our information as we are working towards our final workout plan and meal plan. This week we finalized our meal plan and created the final product. While creating the meal plan we learned a lot about what food we should be putting into our body and what we should avoid. Then while working out this week we refined out workouts to better achieve our goals and we did less reps and more weight while lifting, then we finished off our week with core, agility, and cardio. Cardio is also important in order to help with endurance, on Saturday we went for a 10 minute run like we did during field hockey season and we just went to the lacrosse field and ran it. This week's activities will benefit me because we now know what workouts were the most beneficial for us and which ones pushed us the hard

Day twelve! May 22nd 2021

May 22nd 2021 at 3:37pm Day twelve! Today was a short day. Coyne and I went for a run today and rolled out. We went for our run at 9:00am before going to the turf strip to stretch and roll out till 10:00. After that we did a little bit of research before calling it a day. We added to our final meal plan, we made it in Canva. Canva is a site that is for graphic design so it makes the meal plan look better than from a google doc. We finished our day at 12:00 before having lunch and having our afternoon activities.  Run and roll out 9:00-10:00 Work 10:00-12:00 

Day 11! May 21st 2021

Friday May 21st 2021 at 9:35pm Day eleven! Today we had an early start at 8:00am to stretch and roll out and do some agility work. After that we did work to finalize our meal plan and continue to put it into a new format. After working on our meal plan we took a nice break to go get Starbucks and Tilton pizza. After our trip we hung out in the training room before coming back to our dorm for a little more work. Then at 2 we got some more work done on our final workout plan. We also had to refine our workouts in order to put them into the plan. Then we ended our day at 3 before going to our afternoon activities.  Workout 8:00-9:00  Work 9:00-11:00 Work 2:00-3:00

Day 10! May 20th 2021

Day 10 May 20th 2021 at 7:23pm Day ten! Today we started a little earlier to get our core workout in. We did our core workout from 8:30-9:30, today and we did 3 sets of 6 different exercises. Then we did some work on our final workout plan until 11:00 for the seminar. After the seminar at 12:30 we continued to work on our workout plan. Then we began to put together a more appealing worksheet for our meal plan. Day nine May 19th 2021

May 19th 2021 at 10:26pm Day nine! Today did get derailed a little but overall it was successful. Today we started our morning at 8:00am with stretching and yoga for our active rest. Then around 9:30am we met with Rachel Moore to talk about the final look of our project along with our final workout plan. Around 10:00 we decided to take a quick trip to dunks to get some coffee. After that around 11:00 we met in the training room for a bit longer to continue to work on our fine workout plan. We got distracted into a conversation before going to lunch around 12:00. After lunch we finished up the day by planning for tomorrow until 1 before going off to sports.  Workout 8:00-9:30  Planning 9:30-10:00 Work 11:00-12:00  Planning 12:30-1:00

Day eight May 18th 2021

 Day eight  Tuesday May 18th 2021 at 8:02pm Day eight! Today was our upper body workout, we started our day at 8:30am in the gym. We stretched and worked out until about 9:30 before planning for tomorrow. Tomorrow our plan is active rest, we are going to try to follow a new yoga video that we found. After looking into yoga videos we began researching human anatomy. We mostly looked into what workouts are focusing on what muscle groups. We took a lunch break at 11:30, then we got back to research at 12:00. We finished our afternoon around 1:30 after beginning to work on our final workout plan. May 17th 2021 at 7:20pm Day seven! Today was a longer day for us because Saturday was short. We started our morning with rolling out and then getting into legs. We worked out for an hour lifting and stretching. Then we began to plan out workouts for the week, we especially focused on planning arms for tomorrow. After planning we began research for a while before taking a break for lunch at 11:30. We got back from lunch at 12:00 and finished our day by doing more research on nutrition. We put our finishing touches on our meal plan and looked into some nutritional facts and what to eat when working out. Then we finished our day at 1:30 for a break before going to sports. Week one reflection

 Week one reflection This past week we have been working on our workout plans and tweaking it during our workouts to help us with what works best. We are also working on a meal plan with foods that help gain muscle. We looked into many different meal plans but with us being picky eaters we had to find foods and make a plan that is our own so it was food we would actually eat. So far I like the project although it has left us both a little sore, we do feel like it is beneficial and helps us stay in shape. We found that eating lots of protein helps to build muscle and also that keeping to eating three meals a day in addition to snacks helps to maintain enough calories to help sustain throughout a workout. When looking into the five components of fitness it helps us to be able to create more targeted workouts to be able to target one group of muscles. Most of our project has gone the way we thought it would, we did have one unexpected trip to Starbucks which was fun. Yet overall it has be

Saturday May 15th 2021 at 9:32pm Day six! Today was a shorter day for us, we started at 8:00am. Today we had to get up earlier then normal to try to get 3 hours of work. Today was rough because we were much more tired than normal. We began with stretching and then doing a 10 minute run. We do not like cardio but we felt it was needed to be a part of our workout plan. After our run we came back to our dorm to cool down and get into our research and planning. We finished our planning for our workout on Monday which is leg day. Then we got into planning for our finalized workout plan.  Stretch and run 8:00am-9:00am  Research 9:00am-11:00am

  Friday May 14th 2021 Day five!! Today was our fifth day of working out and we began our day with a nice core work out on the turf strip at 8:30am. Then we met with Rachel Moore to talk about what we have accomplished. After that we took a nice break to go get starbucks and then go to lunch, we took the mini van into Tilton and got coffee. Then after lunch we began with more research at 12:00. We continued to look into meal plans. We continued to learn what foods are beneficial and why. Then we looked into why certain food groups are good for gaining muscle and endurance. Day four May 13th 2021

 Day four May 13th 2021 at 6:34  Day four!! Today was leg day and we got started this morning by going to the gym for our workout at 8:30. First we stretched and rolled out and then we got into weighted squats and deadlifts. Then after our workout we went back to our dorm to plan our workout for tomorrow, core. After planning out our day tomorrow we took a break for lunch at 11:30. We finished up our day doing more research, we looked more into healthy eating and what idea meals would look like. This consisted of protein and healthy snacks throughout the day. We are starting tomorrow off without core work out and then we will move into more research.  Workout 8:30am-9:30am Planning 9:30am-11:30am  Research 12:00pm-1:00pm

Day Three! May 12th 2021

Wednesday May 12th 2021 at 3:29pm Day three!! Today we started off our day with a nice relaxing yoga on the turf strip at 8:30-10am. Today is our recovery day before getting into leg day tomorrow. For our yoga we found a video to follow online yesterday, this helped us to find our center and really stretch and relax our bodies. Then after yoga we made our plan for leg day and the workouts we are planning to do, this brought us to our lunch break at 11am. Then following lunch we continued working on our research for an hour and a half. We will begin leg day and really hone in on our workout plan and what we are finding most effective and where we are seeing the most results.  Workout 8:30am-10:00am Planning 10:00am-11:00am Research 11:30am-12:30pm

Day two! May 11th 2021

Tuesday May 11th at 9:35pm Today was our second day working out and today was our upper body workout. We started our day by going to the gym at 8:30 and working out for an hour. We then continued our day by beginning our research on yoga for the following day, we looked into different types of yoga and the different benefits from different types. Then we picked a nice video to follow for tomorrow's recovery day. Then we took a break for lunch at 11:30. After lunch we got back to research and looked at the five components of fitness. The five components of fitness will help us to hone in on our workouts to make them as beneficial for us as possible. This research took us till 1:30 pm. Tomorrow we will begin our recovery day and research more about our workouts and what is most beneficial for us.

Day One! May 10th 2021

Monday May 10th 2021 8:02pm: Today was our first day of senior project. We started our project this morning by meeting with Rachel Moore at 9:00 and we went over our week's plan and project details for an hour before moving on to work on outlining our work outs for the week. While outlining our week we looked up different workouts and how they work on each part of our body and categorized our days so we are working on different things each day of the week. Then we began to look into different food groups for muscle gain and what were the best things to consume and what was not good. Then we took a break at 11:30 to go to lunch. Following lunch at 12:00 we continued to pick what workouts we were doing today for our agility. We also created an outline of what a healthy meal plan looks like along with what food groups are best to eat. Then we did our workout on agility on the turf strip with some stretches and rolling out. We finished the day at 2:00 by looking into the 5 components o
